Yesterday's Morning (3047 E Tamiami Circle), a translucent paper piece made with table napkins, was made to recreate the front porch landscape as seen from within the house.
The house, located at 3047 East Tamiami Circle in Sarasota, Florida, was a single-family home owned by a local resident family. When the entire plot of houses was turned into a parking lot, not a single scrap of the house remained to remind one of the house, 3047 E Tamiami Circle. The only place where an anonymous resident is still remembered was Google Street View. Using this reference, a 3D model of the house was made to recreate the lost local resident in the untouchable digital world. The photograph of this house model was printed into a large hanging installation that appears to be more visible during nighttime when backlit by the interior room light.
